My name is Meghan and I live in Seattle WA, but originally from the East Coast. Seattle is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen- you can stand in one spot, spin 360 degrees, and see the mountains, water, and city all in one. It is so peaceful but energizing at the same time. I am an assistant buyer for a large fashion retailer here in Seattle. I have the pleasure of working with so many bad ass women and they keep me constantly inspired. I just love listening and sharing ideas with such creative and influential females. Something great about this city is that it has over 100,000 female business owners, and growing! Women-owned businesses are everywhere you look, but here are some of my favorites and how you can help them now:
ECO COLLECTIVE
I love this place, they are all about eco-friendly products and ways to shop. As soon as retail stores re-open, they are launching their bulk-bar (ahhh!). But for now, you can shop their website www.ecocollective.com to stock up on personal hygiene and cleaning supplies, order a gift card to use later, and to also check back for live updates on their BULK DELIVERY in the Seattle area!
A PUBLIC SHOP
A shop that offers refills on cleaning, laundry, and personal care supplies- your alternative to single use goods. As of now, you can still go in store for refills, choose the curbside pickup option with any online order for Seattle locals, or shop online at www.apublicshop.com
K BANANA
Feeling like you need a little self care during your at home social distancing? Well K BANANA has you covered! Shop on their website www.hellokbanana.com for all of your favorite K-Beauty skincare products, cosmetics, accessories, and more! They also have gift cards online if you want to way to experience their bright and colorful store when they re-open!
CLEMENTINES
Clementines has the cutest apparel, shoes, accessories + more! I know shopping is difficult right now but if you can, you should most definitely check out their website www.clementines.com . If you are in the Seattle area, you can email them at info@clementines.com for a little retail therapy curb side “take-out!
MOLLY'S BOTTLE SHOP
Molly’s bottle shop is a natural wine store that also serves tastings daily (but not right now), SO if you want to create your own tastings at home, you can order from their online shop www.mollysbottleshop.com, or sign up for their bottle club!
FRANKIE & JO'S
Frankie and Jo’s is my favorite plant based ice-cream shop in Seattle. Their ice cream is so rich, creamy, and decadent! It is all made from house-made sprouted cashew milk and gum free coconut milk. **Salty Caramel Ash is my favorite** If you live in Seattle, you can go on their website www.frankieandjos.com to get your favorite pints delivered. Also, gift cards don’t hurt!
STOCK & PANTRY
Stock and Pantry is a beautiful boutique retail space for home decor that is inspired by Scandinavian design heritage and Japanese minimalism. They work with established designers as well as new and exciting designers to offer you a wide variety of cool things for nesting at home. You can support them by going to their website www.stockandpantry.com
OPEN BOOKS: A POEM EMPORIUM
A quaint 500 sq ft bookstore bringing you the widest variety of new, used, and out-of-print poetry books. Need something new to read while stuck at home? Or just want to feel inspired? They are offering curbside pickup or order from their online store www.openpoetrybooks.com
CHUNKS
Chunks Shop is an indie brand and collection of colorful, quirky hair clips and sunglasses designed by Tiffany Ju here in Seattle. Seriously, her hair clips are SO CUTE. To support her, please go to her website www.chunks.shop
STICK POKERS
Aiyana is a local hand poke tattoo artist and is the coolest chick around. She gave me a beautiful little stick and poke tattoo on my leg and highly suggest you go see her when businesses are able to re-open. To support her now, please send her a DM @stickpokers to buy a gift certificate. Trust me.... you want her to bless your body with her skills!
